As Staff Hardware Engineer at Artyc, you will be helping us create the firmware that enables our products with a close-knit and mission-driven team. For the Staff Hardware Engineer role at Artyc, we are looking for a leader, a critical thinker, and an effective communicator. You will be a team lead for our electrical and firmware efforts and have a direct impact on Artyc’s growth and culture.

What you’ll do:

  • Guide Artyc’s hardware development across multiple products, including determining priorities and tasks for you and the team 
  • Design, produce, and debug PCBs'
  • Become an expert in our firmware codebase to add features, debug, and guide other members of the team
  • Operate in an agile development environment where you’ll manage team timelines and priorities
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical and software engineering counterparts, and collaborate with product, sales, and design teams 

Role Requirements:

  • Can construct power budgets for mobile systems
  • Creation of production firmware in C/C++
  • Understanding of RTOS fundamentals
  • Background with project management tools such as Asana and Jira
  • Experience with Git
  • Embody Artyc’s mission-driven culture and collaborative environment 

Preferred Skills:

  • Background with IoT products
  • Have brought products through scale manufacturing
  • Previously put together strong electrical engineering teams
  • Have been part of full product lifecycle development
